Lakisha Shepard is a woman of faith, strength, and purpose whose life journey reflects grace,
transformation, and divine timing. A devoted servant of God first and foremost, she walks boldly
in the call placed upon her life to inspire, uplift, and help others discover healing through truth
and faith.
A retired Deputy Sheriff Jailer and now Community Engagement Manager and Supervisor at
Enterprise Security Consulting and Training, Inc., Lakisha continues to serve her community
with compassion and conviction. She is a devoted wife to Bishop Owens Shepard and a loving
mother devoted to her children, finding joy and balance in both ministry and family.
Lakisha is the author of Side Piece is the New Concubine, her debut work that marks the
beginning of many visions being brought to life. With other projects and ventures in the making,
she stands in this season of becoming, where purpose meets preparation, and the visions God has
entrusted to her begin to manifest. This is her first book, but certainly not her last.
Lakisha faithfully served in public safety for over two decades as a Deputy Sheriff Jailor with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, retiring in January 2025. Her career in corrections not only sharpened her skills in discipline, communication, and crisis management but also gave her a deep sense of responsibility for helping individuals find restoration and hope.
Following her retirement, Lakisha transitioned into a leadership role as Community Engagement Manager and Supervisor at Enterprise Security Consulting and Training, Inc. (ESCT). There, she oversees staff development, training initiatives, and outreach, bringing her signature balance of professionalism, compassion, and accountability.
Lakisha’s life is anchored in faith. She serves as Elect Lady and Elder of God Healing Temple in Rochester, NY, alongside her husband, Bishop Owens Shepard, who serves as Presiding Bishop of Kingdom Dominion Covenant Ministries Fellowship (KDCMF).
Together, they lead with vision and bold community outreach under the theme “Come and Be Restored.” Within KDCMF, Lakisha serves as Chairperson of the Women’s Ministry, where she rebranded the group, “Her Voice, His Glory.” Her ministry empowers women to embrace their God-given identity, uplift their voices, and walk in purpose.
